| Jade Lipton of Brisbane's Cakestar has been a very very busy girl. First up came the call from New Zealand's Food Channel to be a guest judge on the popular show New Zealand's Hottest Home Baker. After a whirlwind shoot for the eight‑week series, Jade was only just catching her breath when she took a call from Penguin Books. Now cake lovers from all over Australia and New Zealand will be able to get a taste of her work, with the book Cakestar: Showstopping Cakes and Cupcakes due to hit shelves in July 2011. Oh, and did we mention the stunning new store which has just opened on the corner of Sandgate Road and Birbeck Street, Albion, complete with an interior design suited to a high-end jewellery store? Marble counters, staff outfitted in Juli Grbac dresses with Felicity Boevink headpieces, and a complete Apple i-pad network...wow. |
